our story
Our story is a story of learning. My husband and I love to learn! And for about the last decade, we have been on a journey of learning to live simply and naturally. Little by little.
How to cook, and how to source ingredients. How to maintain food quality without spending too much money. How to find trustworthy brands to purchase non-toxic household and body products from. And how to simplify our belongings for a peaceful, maintainable home.
So, how did this whole journey start?
The truth is, ever since meeting during my freshman/his senior year of college, we’ve had a general shared interest in wellness. We spent those early years of marriage learning basic cooking, menu planning, shopping, meal prepping… that sort of thing.

But things really sped up for us when I became pregnant with our first daughter.
At that time, I stumbled into the world of toxin-free products (cleaning supplies, body care, baby care, cookware, clothing… all of it). It was overwhelming at first, but I was determined to figure it out (and keep it affordable) with our sweet baby coming soon.
By the time she came, I had gained a basic understanding of how to even know if a food or product is something I want in our home (or on our baby), and I haven’t stopped learning since!

Over the years, simplifying our belonging (I might call us “mostly-minimalist”) has seamlessly made its way into our lives as we become more passionate about natural foods and products. Simple foods, simple products… and simple belongings. Makes sense.
More about our family
My husband, Jordan, and I grew up in North Dakota. We are college sweethearts and married during my junior year. I studied music composition and he studied business.
We moved five times in the first six years of marriage. We also had two adorable little girls in that time.
I stay home with them and (though I wouldn’t call it easy, as you likely understand) it is truly a gift from God to be their mama!

We recently made the biggest move of our life – something we’ve been dreaming together about for years – by moving from North Dakota to sunny Arizona!
We love Jesus (he is the source and the purpose of our whole lives!). We dream of homeschooling our kids and teaching them the generationally-valuable lessons of simple and natural living.
We enjoy reading good books and talking about them, taking long walks, and dreaming together about what the future could hold.
These days, I’m enjoying learning all things traditional foods preparation and sourdough!
